The article examines the space-planning solutions of modern airport passenger terminals and their evolution in the context of growing passenger traffic, the development of transport links, and increasing requirements for the operational efficiency of airport complexes. An analysis of existing terminal classifications presented in domestic and foreign scientific literature is conducted, and their main limitations are identified. Special attention is paid to the evaluation of Christopher Blow’s typology from the perspective of modern requirements for the organization of passenger processes. Based on an analysis of architectural, planning, functional, and technological characteristics, a refined typology of passenger terminals is proposed, based on five classification criteria: capacity, horizontal configuration, vertical zoning, the degree of centralization of technological processes, and multimodal integration. As a result, six main types of space-planning structures are identified. The developed typology can be applied in pre-design analysis, the preparation of technical specifications, and the reconstruction of airport complexes.
